ACWD Typhoon Uwan Preparedness
In anticipation of the possible adverse effects of Super Typhoon “Uwan”, the Alaminos City Water District (ACWD) assures the public that comprehensive preparedness measures have been undertaken to ensure continuous water service and operational stability during the onslaught of the storm.
✅ Prepositioning of Fuel Supplies
Diesel fuel has been prepositioned across all pump stations to sustain generator operations in case of power interruptions. Coordination with our fuel supplier has also been made for standby buffer stock to ensure continued operations.
✅ Generator Set Readiness
All generator sets have undergone inspection and warm-up procedures, and are confirmed to be fully functional to power our pumping and office facilities when needed.
✅ Facilities Secured
All electrical wirings, pump house enclosures, and exposed areas have been secured. Debris and potential obstructions have been cleared to reduce risks during high winds.
✅ Personnel Mobilization
Our dedicated teams are on-call and ready to respond to any emergency situations that may arise during and after the typhoon’s passage.
✅ Mobile Generator Units
Backup mobile generator sets have been tested and are ready for immediate deployment should the need arise.
We encourage everyone to do their part in ensuring family and property safety during this time. ACWD will continue to monitor the situation closely and will provide updates as necessary.
